SHE FLOW INTRO CLASS

This is the yoga of SHE, of Shakti Ma - a delicious and divine, fierce + feminine movement practice that is moon + menstrual cycle-led - it takes into account that we have boobs, bums, hips + bellies, and allows you to connect fully with your body and to trust that it will let you know exactly what movement it wants + needs. KALI BITCH, PLEASE: SHE FLOW PRACTICE

This SHE Flow practice will allow you to work with the feelings that can emerge in this part of the cycle and to allow them to move through you and not try to escape from them. It takes the masculine energy that’s created in the warrior asana (from yoga) and makes it the dance of the warrior queen – RARRR!

WOMB BREATH

You can do this exercise seated or standing but, if standing, make sure your legs are slightly apart, sink down into your knees to fully allow yourself to connect with Mumma Earth. With each inhale think about what you’d like to invite into your life and with every exhale think of what you’d like to let go of.

ROOT BREATH

To help grow strong and firm roots, this SHE Flow practice of root breath uses Mula Bandha, meaning ‘the root lock’.

This yogic practice combines muscle contraction and energy stimulation to turn energy in your root chakra located at your genitals (for more on the chakras see page 000), into creativity and healing energy for your entire body. Don’t practise root lock breathing during menstruation.

OVARY BREATH

Your ovaries are a powerhouse of creativity and when they’re nurtured, fully charged and circulating with energy, you can use that SHE power to choose what you want to create and how to express that power in your body, through your body and then out in to the world. Connect with your ovaries and you connect with your ability to express yourself. Oh yeah.
